Nimble Thimble’s new website is up and running as of today. It’s not fully populated yet, but I will be working on more content feverishly over the next few weeks. For now, you can search for classes and find easy links to contact us. I hope that this site will soon become a good resource for finding all things quiltish. If there is anything you want to see, please let me know (visit the contact page).
The shop is closed next week (Dec 25-Jan 1) so we can set up some new things. Please come visit us the first week of January. New shop hours are 11-6PM Tues-Friday, 11-5PM Sat and Sunday, closed Monday. Christmas fabrics and panels will be on sale 25% off, and there are some new samples on the wall, too. I have new kits from Frond Studios, always a treat. The Coronet (long arm) should be functional by then. And, speaking of BabyLock, they are offering a 60-day free trial for their Love of Knowledge program, over 400 videos covering a full range of sewing techniques. This program is free to all current and new BabyLock machine owners. Just come in and ask me. We have great deals on all floor models of machines and furniture. If Santa did not come through for you in the sewing department, let me help you correct that!
I wish you all the best this holiday season. For me this year, Christmas means a few days of R&R: a fire in the fireplace next to my comfy chair, a good book with just a few more goodies both sweet and savory, and a memory-filled quilt to add even more warmth to the holiday afternoon. I hope all of you find exactly the right way to celebrate the close of this year. Whatever you choose to do, send off 2017 with a salute to all the grand things that have happened and only a slight nod to anything that didn’t work out the way you wanted. And let’s all commit to a bigger and better 2018. Ring it in with JOY!
